It's okay to Blush

     Hello, my name is Kateleen, but most people call me Katie. I know very different you have probably never heard of that name. My mother decided to be creative and at first, as a small child, I hated my name. It was different, teachers did not know how to pronounce it and it was beyond embarrassing during attendance on the first day of school every year. But as I have gotten older I have learned to embrace my name. Who cares if it is different it's unique. It describes me and I have never met anyone else with my name and that is pretty dang cool, but what does that matter. Let me tell you about myself I'm a twenty-one-year-old girl trying to figure my life out. I am still in college and have no idea what I want to do with my life. I like all other girls spend too much time on social media looking at other girls amazing outfits and constantly wondering why I can not have the "perfect" life they have. Constantly comparing myself and one day I decided I was done comparing myself. I wanted to world to see the truth and see that life isn't perfect. No one is perfect even that beautiful Instagram model that has every handbag any girl could want. Guess what? She cries too! I decided to start a blog to inspire and motivate girls of all ages that life isn't perfect and we are all unique! We do not have to live an insta worthy life and that those girls we all aim to be aren't real. I want girls to stop comping themselves to social media. I want girls to see they are beautiful just the way they are. Let's look around and realize we all make mistakes, we all cry, and life isn't perfect. It's not supposed to be. I wanted to create a relatable blog one that made girls realize they are not alone. That everyone has struggles and life isn't perfect even for the girls that seem that way. I have had to embrace life one day at a time, even if sometimes it is hard. Just like my unique name I have had to embrace myself for who I am and stop beating myself up for not being "perfect". I want to take yall on a journey of my story and my future. Let's create our future together as women that embrace themselves and their journey!
